DECLARATION

OF

SAMARTH BHARAT PARTY

Greatest tragedy of India is that on one hand its democracy has degenerated into ochlocracy (mob-rule) and on the other hand institutions of governance have become grossly inefficient.

Samarth Bharat Party is committed to building a strong and capable India by improving efficiency of governance as well of all economic activities. The party believes in the following:

• Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram - Satyam or truth means scientific approach that seeks evidence or proof for every statement; Shivam means welfare and goodness for all; Sundaram means aesthetic beauty.



• Monistic Humanism - Oneness of individual with society and of society with nature is fundamental to monistic humanism.



• Improving efficiency of governance and all economic activities by removing corruption and also by giving due role to talented, competent and well-educated persons.



• Indian armed forces have for long been treated as mercenary forces. The armed forces must be provided an institutionalized role in the strategic decision making process.



• Indian Universities and academic institutions have generally been viewed as handmaids by bureaucrats and petty politicians. This needs to be changed and they must be developed and given their due role as mind of the nation.

Note

Samarth Bharat Party is intended to be a new political grouping. It is a forum for discussion on issues relating to fundamental changes in Indian polity.

There is no intention to register the party with Election Commission. Nor will the party enter electoral game in near future.

The above Declaration defines the group's PANCHNISHTHA (Five principles of creed). This lays down the essential articles of faith that are not subject to negotiation or change. Everyone, who agrees with the points mentioned in the Declaration, is welcome to join and contribute to the group.
